Miyashiro, Rosa

Hello! Hola! 

My name is Rosa I. Miyashiro Matsumoto and I am one of the School Counselors at LEAP High School. I have been working at LEAP for the past 9 years. My job and passion is to support all students and families in their social-emotional, academic and college/career needs.  

I was born and raised in Peru, so my native language is Spanish. My grandparents were from Okinawa-Japan, so I consider myself Asian-Latina-American! In Peru, I am a licensed Psychologist with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training. I came to this country 22 years ago and completed a Masters in School Counseling at Adler Graduate School.

I love traveling and exploring new places and cultures, going for walks, watching movies, making new friends, reading, and spending time with my family.
